New York Jets Vs New England Patriots Match Player Stats
With the exception of Green Bay, every NFL fanbase tends to show up when their team does well and stay away when things are bad – and Monday Night Football was no different when the Jets took on the Patriots.
Drake Maye delivered two touchdown passes on New England’s opening drive as they quickly established a double-digit lead.
Even without key starters such as LB Robert Spillane and WR Kayshon Boutte present, New England was dominant from start to finish, as highlighted in the New York Jets Vs New England Patriots Match Player Stats.

Stefon Diggs
Stefon Diggs has been an instrumental part of the Patriots offense this season and has emerged as one of the premier receivers in the league.
Diggs ranks second on his team with 65 receptions for 810 yards, five touchdowns scored and tied for first with two interceptions – all major contributors to New England’s explosive offense which they will hope to maintain against the Jets this week.
The Patriots have won 24 out of 25 meetings against the Jets since 2016, and are hoping to extend that streak against their division rival. A win would give the Patriots their eighth 13-win season ever, surpassing San Francisco 49ers for most such seasons in NFL history.
New England last played against the Jets in October 2015, winning 23-7 as Tom Brady threw for 357 yards and four touchdowns while Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola each recorded two receiving touchdowns for New England – marking its first road victory this season and eighth straight win against them since 2008.
In 2021, the Patriots beat the Jets easily at Gillette Stadium with a 54-13 drubbing that marked New England’s biggest win against them and set a franchise record for most points scored in one game by New England.
Randy Moss and Wes Welker each recorded their inaugural touchdown receptions as new Patriots receivers; Ellis Hobbs returned a kickoff 108 yards for another score; this marked New England’s largest ever victory against them and set an NFL franchise mark with most points scored during one game by New England since their formation in 1988.
The Jets needed a win to stay alive in the playoff chase and they got it as QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 247 yards and two touchdown passes to Quincy Enunwa and Brandon Marshall – but unfortunately that victory wasn’t enough as New England took care of business to complete a season sweep and move to 12-2 overall.
Jaylin Hawkins made history, intercepting Brady Cook’s pass during the second quarter and becoming New England’s first player to record two interceptions in one quarter this season.
Mack Hollins
The New England Patriots put up big plays both through the air and on the ground on each of their first five possessions in their dominant win against the Jets at MetLife Stadium, improving to 13-3 overall while finishing an unblemished 8-0 road record this year – only their third time ever doing that in franchise history!
They will wait to see whether Bills-Eagles ends later today to determine whether they have secured AFC East bragging rights; another victory against Dolphins may still be necessary to do that.
Mack Hollins made his second career start this game, replacing Jordan Matthews due to an injury. The rookie wide receiver saw action across all four special teams units and recorded two tackles and a fumble recovery – an indication of his versatility; Josh McDaniels could look towards him as an option at X-receiver this offseason.
Hollins scored his inaugural NFL touchdown from Drake Maye with a 2-yard pass early in the first quarter. Following a Jets three-and-out, Maye connected with Stefon Diggs (12 yards), Hunter Henry (13 yards) and Rhamondre Stevenson (6 yards).
On subsequent drives, Maye connected with Stefon Diggs (12 yards), Hunter Henry (13 yards) and Rhamondre Stevenson (6 yards). Thayer Munford helped facilitate an 8-play, 61-yard drive — giving the Patriots an 8-0 advantage less than five minutes into play.
Hollins played an instrumental role in RB Rhamondre Stevenson’s late second quarter 1-yard touchdown run by collecting a 20-yard reception on third down, blocking an unsuccessful Hail Mary attempt and helping set up a 20-yard touchdown catch by TE Hunter Henry the following drive – this made him team leader for both receptions and receiving yards among all skill players. Unfortunately, on December 27 he suffered leg damage during their victory over Baltimore and had to be placed on injured reserve, thus ending his season.
Julian Edelman
Julian Edelman has become one of the most decorated wide receivers in NFL history. He has won three Super Bowls with New England Patriots dynasty. Edelman currently ranks third all-time postseason receiving yards and receptions as well as Super Bowl records for punt returns and first half receptions in a single game. Additionally, Edelman has ventured into entrepreneurship and launched two podcasts: Games With Names and Dudes on Dudes.
The Jets entered this game hoping to avoid their fourth consecutive loss and improve their record against the Patriots, who were undefeated and leading their division, uncontested. As both teams vied for first playoff seed status, this match-up would prove pivotal.
After an uneventful first quarter, the Patriots quickly took control of the second. Drake Maye delivered several key passes to Stefon Diggs and Hunter Henry while Rhamondre Stevenson led their ground game with 33 rushing yards on three attempts.
They finished off this dominance by going on an 11-play, 61-yard drive that led to Austin Hooper scoring from Drake Maye’s passes.
New England continued to apply pressure to the Jets defense in the second half. Following an impressive scoring drive, New England took an early 27-3 lead. Later in the half, New England extended that advantage further with an incredible 10-play, 91-yard drive culminating with Edelman receiving the ball at receiver.
With their victory, the Patriots improved to 13-3 and secured a playoff berth while finishing with an undefeated 8-0 road record this season. Unfortunately, however, until after Bills-Eagles game is completed they will know whether they won or lost AFC East championship title.
On December 2, the two teams met again. The Patriots opened up with a 13-0 advantage before Antowain Smith scored to tie it at 17-3 before closing out with a 14-3 run to capture their inaugural regular season matchup against the Jets.
Rob Gronkowski
Rob Gronkowski has had an incredible NFL career, playing an integral part in the Patriots dynasty from 2000-2006 and continuing to contribute in 2025. Gronk was one of the premier tight ends during that period; three-time Super Bowl Champion; multiple Pro Bowl selections and First Team All-Pro selections; numerous tackles against Jets including an iconic butt fumble by Mark Sanchez among his notable moments in 2025; multiple Pro Bowl honoree.
At the start of their inaugural meeting of the season, both teams were in an intense battle for AFC East supremacy.
The lead changed seven times between plays until ultimately Tom Brady found Deion Branch and Brandon Tate for touchdown passes while BenJarvus Green-Ellis ran one in himself for another score. Nick Folk missed one field goal early on before Adam Vinatieri kicked two more field goals later in the game.
Week 10 brought another showdown between these teams, with the Patriots leading by two games and poised to clinch the AFC East. Their offense scored early and often while their defense limited Jets offensive production to just 188 yards; Gronkowski scored twice with eight receptions totalling 113 yards and two touchdowns while Sanchez’s production was restricted to 125 yards with only one score recorded by their defense.
After their win against the Chiefs, the Patriots improved to 13-3 while finishing off an undefeated road record in 2025. Now they must wait until after Bills-Eagles game to see whether they clinched AFC East title.
New England struck first as rookie Efton Chism III scored his inaugural touchdown of the game for a 7-0 Patriots lead on their opening drive.
Unfortunately for New York on their next drive, however, due to a pass interference penalty against Kyle Williams that put first-and-goal at one from one yard line and allowed Tom Brady a chance at throwing short touchdowns which Danny Amendola caught and made it 14-0 Patriots by end of first quarter; another score would come later from Drake Maye who threw 30-yard pass to Stevenson for another touchdown score before halftime.
