QB Tom Brady

This game marked the first time since 2025 that the Patriots held an advantage at halftime, scoring 17 points in the second quarter to build up an early 17-3 lead at intermission.

They improved to 14-3 under coach Mike Vrabel – their best single season mark ever and joining George Seifert (1989 with San Francisco) and Jim Caldwell (2009 with Indianapolis) as one of only three coaches ever to accomplish such an unprecedented feat in a first season at an NFL club.

Rhamondre Stevenson led all Patriots rookie running backs with 11 touchdowns this season; two came during the opening half alone! Stevenson holds a 5.1 average yardage average.

Andy Borregales struck gold for New England as time expired in the first half, hitting a 59-yard field goal to give them a 17-10 advantage and become their third longest kick ever, trailing only Joey Slye’s 63-yarder at Buffalo in September 2024 and Stephen Gostkowski’s 62-yarder in Mexico City three days earlier on November 19, 2017.

It was Andy Borregales’ longest career field goal while ranking third all time behind only those two goals from Joey Slye’s 63 yarder at Buffalo on September 29 2024 and Stephen Gostkowski’s 62 yarder on Nov 19, 2017.

S Jaylinn Hawkins made history when he picked off Miami quarterback Quinn Ewers in the end zone in the third quarter. Hawkins now leads his team with four interceptions this season.

RB LeGarrette Blount

On Sunday, the Patriots beat the Dolphins 38-10 and secured their sixth consecutive AFC East title with 14-3 record. New England tied Colts 1999 and Miami 2008 for largest season-to-season improvement (ten games) while also matching Colts 1998 record of six wins as set by Colts 1998 and Dolphins 2008. For this first time since 2024, Patriots completed an unassailable sweep over Miami Dolphins!

New England opened their game with an aggressive ground drive, highlighted by running back Rhamondre Stevenson’s 56-yard touchdown run – his fifth 50-yard run this season and second overall in his career – setting an NFL rookie rushing yard record with 1,131. Later in the quarter, quarterback Tom Brady connected with TreVeyon Henderson on two 5- and 2-yard touchdown runs to extend their lead further and go ahead 21-0.

Miami was limited by injuries, losing both linebacker Chop Robinson (concussion) and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (calf). Rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers started for Miami for only the third time this season and completed two throws for 137 yards but was intercepted twice before being replaced in the fourth quarter by defensive tackle Jordyn Brooks.

New England only attempted five throws during the second half, yet still made them count. On its opening play, Blount showed great vision and speed on a 16-yard screen pass from Brady; later he caught another 5-yarder from him.

WR Rob Gronkowski

Rob Gronkowski was an essential component of New England’s offense this season and hopes he can make his comeback in 2021. The four-time All-Pro tight end played an integral role in their recent success as part of one of the greatest duos ever assembled in NFL history.

New England kicked off their opening drive with an aggressive ground attack, and running back Rhamondre Stevenson set the pace with two 50-yard touchdown runs – his second such performance ever in one game and fifth this year overall.

Following an uneventful third quarter, New England took control on its final drive of the day on its final drive of Brady avoided pressure to deliver a 42-yard pass to Gronkowski that capped their 92-yard drive and gave them an insurmountable 24-0 advantage.

Miami responded with its own scoring drive, but quarterback Quinn Ewers (making his third start since Tua Tagovailoa’s injury) left late in the fourth quarter with a knee injury, leaving the field and going 16-of-23 for 137 yards and one touchdown while running back Malik Washington had 22 rush yards, three catches, 13 tackles (including forced fumble and interception), all solid performances; Miami dropped to 7-10 on the season.

WR Julian Edelman

Julian Francis Edelman was an American football wide receiver who spent 12 seasons with the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL).

Drafted seventh round in 2009, Edelman quickly established himself as Tom Brady’s primary slot receiver and top target on offense – catching 599 passes for 6,507 yards and 36 touchdowns while helping lead them to three Super Bowl victories. When retiring after 2020 season he held onto second place behind Wes Welker with 620 receptions overall.

New England began the game with an efficient ground drive led by running back Rhamondre Stevenson’s back-to-back runs of nine and 56 yards, before adding TreVeyon Henderson’s touchdown run for an early 7-0 advantage.

Edelman made an important play on Miami’s subsequent possession, tackling Darren Waller for an end zone safety and helping keep their 17-7 lead at halftime.

New England continued their dominating play in the third quarter, scoring two touchdowns: Gostkowski kicked a 42-yard field goal and Edelman caught an 11-yard touchdown reception to put New England up 24-7.

New England’s defense stepped up early in the fourth quarter. Cornerback Marcus Jones dropped Miami quarterback Quinn Ewers for a 3-yard sack – his first career sack and second of the game for New England – while safety Jaylinn Hawkins picked off Ewers in the end zone for his fifth interception this season, leading him to 35-yard return touchdown play.

WR Chris Hogan

The Patriots finished out the 2025 regular season on an impressive note with a 38-10 victory against Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium.

With this win, they improved to 14-3 – their sixth consecutive winning season and best ever in team history – and tied a 10-game turnaround record that had previously only been accomplished by 1999 Indianapolis Colts and 2008 Miami Dolphins.

The Patriots got off to an explosive start on their opening drive of the game when running back Rhamondre Stevenson scored touchdown runs of 9 and 56 yards for touchdowns on consecutive plays.

Kicker Mike Nugent answered back with a field goal for Miami; however, due to a fumble by linebacker Jack Gibbens on Miami 37-yard line they gained possession from there and became dominant once more.

New England capitalized on New Orleans’ miscue by having quarterback Drake Maye throw Chris Hogan a 71-yard touchdown pass – his longest of the season and finishing with an outstanding 72.0 completion percentage – marking two straight games where Hogan caught at least one touchdown from Maye.

Hogan should remain on the active roster for the final five games of the season and provide some depth at receiver for Michael Thomas (ankle), likely out indefinitely.

Over his nine-season NFL career he has played on five different teams and caught over 1,000 passes – an impressive achievement given Hogan is only 33 years old!

RB James White

White was selected by the Patriots in the second-round in 2022 and quickly established himself as an important change-of-pace back.

He led all rushers with 1,444 yards this season while also catching 45 passes for 371 yards and six touchdowns – earning himself one of three starting roles this year.

New England’s defense was an integral factor in their win against Miami Dolphins, holding Miami to just 10 points. S Jaylinn Hawkins recorded two interceptions – including an end zone pickoff of Miami quarterback Quinn Ewers! – to help New England secure victory.

In the opening quarter, the Patriots got off to a strong start with an aggressive ground-heavy drive that saw running back Rhamondre Stevenson score on runs of nine yards and 56 yards before TreVeyon Henderson added two-yard and 5-yard touchdown runs for a quick 14-0 advantage.

Miami responded with an impressive drive that featured both run and pass plays, before eventually coming to an abrupt halt at New England’s 8-yard line after Ewers missed a throw and led to New England scoring on White’s 15-yard run – their fifth such score this season! New England is on track for their best regular season record since winning Super Bowl LI in 2024!
