Since 1989, Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has represented the United Arab Emirates as an associate cricket nation and regularly competes in ICC tournaments such as World Cup qualifiers and World Twenty20 competitions.

At Sharjah Cricket Stadium, the UAE kicked off their Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 campaign by facing India A at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

India A were able to use Naman Dhir’s early wicket and take control of the contest thanks to their early lead-off wicket.

India A were led by Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s outstanding batting performance of 144 off 42 balls and were supported by Jitesh Sharma who scored unbeaten 83 off 32 balls for India A. Unfortunately for UAE they couldn’t keep pace with India A’s superior attack and quickly fell apart.

On November 16, both teams will battle it out again at Zayed Cricket Stadium to try to improve their standing within their respective groups by winning this pivotal encounter.

UAE are a young team with numerous talented players, but must work on improving their weaknesses to maximize performance and defeat defending champions Germany in order to advance to the quarter-finals.

Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026

Hanisa Karunaratne led Sri Lanka A to an emphatic 46-run victory against Thailand Women in their opening game of DP World Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 in Bangkok.

Karunaratne remained unbeaten on 26 as she helped guide her side to an impressive total of 221/6 in their first innings; wicket keeper-batswoman Pooja Sharma made a splendid 55 not out.

Naruemol Chaiwai will lead a balanced Thai women’s team into this tournament, with Esha Oza playing an essential role. Fahima Khatun will captain an experienced Bangladesh A team in their bid for success this time around.

India A vs UAE

India A defeated UAE with ease on Wednesday during their debut match of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 tournament at Dubai.

Under the guidance of Kuldeep Yadav and Shivam Dube’s bowlers – led by Kuldeep Yadav’s googlies and powerful deliveries from Shivam Dube – India A completely overpowered UAE batsmen even with Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill’s impressive opening stand of 26 runs!

Young gun Mayank Rajesh Kumar unleashed sixes and fours against an UAE attack as he raced to his 17-ball half century off just 17 deliveries.

Ramandeep Singh caught Mayank off a short ball from Muhammad Farazuddin; left-hander Mayank Rajesh Kumar fell shortly thereafter on being hit by Muhammad Farazuddin; caught at deep midwicket by Ramandeep Singh for the visitors’ first wicket in this matchup.

Ramandeep Singh made an incredible catch! He dived at the edge of his boundary to take an excellent catch against Naman Dhir who was trying to hit a big six shot. It was his second catch of the innings and proved an important one in stopping any big sixes from being scored by Dhir.
