England vs Pakistan 1st Test

England won their opening Twenty20 international win of their tour with Joe Root and Harry Brook’s impressive performances, setting a remarkable partnership record.

Their outstanding contributions propelled England to an overwhelming 317-4 victory from 20 overs, leaving Pakistan reeling under sustained attack of runs and wickets – captain Shan Masood was struggling and veteran Jason Gillespie could do little to rally his players to fightback.

Pakistan reached 289-4 in their 20 overs thanks to Mohammad Ali’s brilliant spell, supported by some solid hitting from Shakeel Shah who scored a well-earned fifty.

Although their spinners struggled, Zahid Mahmood, Abrar Ahmed and Saud Shakeel all managed to contribute with wickets to assist Pakistan towards such a formidable total.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field. Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Ali both made their Test debuts for Pakistan while Saud Shakeel and Haris Rauf earned their maiden Test caps as tourists for them both sides respectively. Ollie Pope captained England during this encounter.

Phil Salt was the first wicket to fall, while Jos Buttler then responded in style, hitting two sixes during his 41-run innings for England. A victory would put them back at the top of ICC Test rankings; but it is far from guaranteed at this stage; hosts will need to deliver in remaining matches of this series in order to avoid another deadlock with archrivals Australia and New Zealand.

England vs Pakistan 2nd Test

On Friday, England and Pakistan begin the second Test match at Lord’s, looking to avoid repeat of an innings defeat suffered in the first match at Oval. England made several changes from its side that lost at Oval with Jofra Archer and Ben Duckett returning into their XI. Lord’s is known for fast pace and spin so both teams will need to adjust accordingly when adapting tactics accordingly.

Phil Salt and Jos Buttler fell early into the powerplay to leave England at 35-3 before captain Jos Buttler joined Jacob Bethell to build an opening stand of 83 runs before Bethell was bowled by Shaheen Afridi; Afridi then dismissed Tom Banton, leaving England vulnerable at 163-8.

Harry Brook then played an exceptional innings to keep England in contention. His freedom without becoming recklessness allowed for some run scoring that kept England on course – he reached his century mark by 17th over, though it may have already been too late by that point.

England have achieved an amazing win in the final over of this match to reach the semi-finals of this tournament. There was plenty of tension and drama, as an incredible innings from Brook stands out in memory.

Now they await Sri Lanka vs New Zealand results to determine their place in the final four – until then thank you for following such an exhilarating match – The Guardian

England vs Pakistan 3rd Test

England were at times unsteady with the bat towards the end of this Test match, but Jos Buttler and Harry Brook kept them competitive with excellent innings from Brook (he reached into the top 10) that propelled him into England’s leading run-scorer in Test cricket).

Buttler eventually scored a fine century, setting Pakistan a target of 246 in the final session – one they couldn’t reach and allowed them to settle for a draw.

Pakistan will come away feeling satisfied from this match despite their disappointment with the result, especially considering they managed to end a dismal 11-match home losing streak and gain more insight into playing against England – particularly with regards to Nomal Ali and Sajid Khan being outstanding bowlers.

Pakistan Cricket Board will aim to build upon their recent performance against South Africa and New Zealand over the remainder of 2024-25 season, hoping that ending it on a high note is achievable.

Pakistan have some room for improvement as an inexperienced side, yet have performed admirably against England in this series. South Africa and New Zealand provide plenty of opportunity for them to hone their game before the 2027 tour of India – it promises to be a fascinating campaign with Pakistan as one of the premier teams. Don’t take them lightly: this team could soon become one of Test cricket’s premier sides.

England vs Pakistan 4th Test

England and Pakistan fought a tightly contested match that came down to one final ball and an epic finish. Shaheen Afridi lit up the contest when he struck in the first over, taking Phil Salt and Jacob Bethell wickets to leave their hosts 35 for 3.

England’s response came from unstoppable batsman Harry Brook who kept pace of chase brilliantly while keeping score moving with smart running between wickets and placement of bat.

Afridi managed his revenge in final over but it was too late; Brook had done his work. Afridi eventually got his revenge by dismissing Brook but only by then!

England are through to the semi-finals and will face South Africa on Saturday in their next match. Pakistan must beat Sri Lanka at Pallekele and hope that other results go their way in order to qualify for the last four.

Abrar Ahmed makes history on debut against England by taking 10 wickets on debut and becoming the first bowler ever to do so in Test history.

Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed made an unforgettable debut against England at Karachi by collecting 10 wickets on his inaugural Test match, the best performance by any debutant since Abdur Rauf claimed 11 wickets against Sri Lanka on his inaugural appearance back in 2010.

Abrar also broke the record for youngest spinner to claim five wickets hauls – making his mark internationally and cementing himself into cricket history forever!

England vs Pakistan 5th Test

Pakistan will have an extremely busy 2022 cricket season, including Test matches against England, South Africa and New Zealand. The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed dates and venues for these Test matches in Karachi and Lahore; starting November 28, with an initial game followed by a two-day warm-up match on November 29 and 30.

Teams will compete in two Twenty20 internationals hosted by their host nations before concluding the series with one Test match played at Karachi International Cricket Stadium.

England will look to improve upon their current record of five wins out of eight against Pakistan, which includes an unbeaten home series in 2021. England have won all four T20 internationals against Pakistan national cricket team as well as six head-to-head meetings during World Cup tournaments.

England were able to successfully manage an even slower start to their innings. After Sam Curran and Jos Buttler fell early, Brook stepped in as captain with an outstanding hundred.

This young batsman used a combination of intelligent running between wickets and accurate placement to score runs that kept England strong throughout.

Once England had reached 223/6, Jos Buttler and Gary Ballance produced an invaluable fourth-wicket stand of 107 in just 27 overs, featuring 10 fours and three sixes between them.

Buttler was ultimately dismissed for 109 by Sahibzada Farhan off Jofra Archer – giving Brook a fantastic chance to complete his century and take England home in triumphant fashion.

Rehan Ahmed made a sensational start to his England career with an outstanding five-wicket haul on debut for England in a T20 international, becoming the youngest debutant to achieve such an achievement and taking five or more wickets on international debut. This performance is highlighted in the England Cricket Team Vs Pakistan National Cricket Team Match Scorecard.
