Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs was selected in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings and attended Maryland for college football.

Since midway through his rookie season he has started as starting wide receiver with 52 catches for 720 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Diggs has averaged a career-best 16.4 yards per catch this season and recently scored two receiving touchdowns in three consecutive games – making him the first Vikings receiver since Randy Moss in 1998 to achieve this feat.

Minnesota scored its opening touchdown when Teddy Bridgewater found Diggs on a short crossing pattern across the middle of the field on third down, sending him accelerating towards the sidelines, juking one defender, and carrying another on his back for a 33-yard score.

Diggs has scored two touchdowns this season – after his initial catch against Chicago Bears; each game for his new team since has produced at least one reception of 50 yards or more which marks an amazing feat in NFL careers.

Kayshon Boutte

Kayshon Boutte (pronounced BOO-tee) is an American football wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL).

Drafted by New England in the sixth round of 2023 NFL Draft, Boutte attended college at LSU before making his NFL debut with New England.

Boutte made two key plays during the first quarter, catching two passes for 19 yards each time and on their next possession, Boutte made an important catch to move the ball past Tennessee’s 30-yard line, leading Rhamondre Stevenson’s late game-tying touchdown and forcing overtime.

Boutte continued his impressive play in the second quarter, catching two passes for 16 yards before scoring another touchdown pass from Drake Maye for 32 yards during the third. Boutte now has four touchdowns this year on top of seven receptions on his resume.

The Patriots defense was outstanding throughout this playoff round. Holding the Texans to three-and-out on both of their initial drives was key for victory before Marcus Jones intercepted Brock Stroud’s pass and ran it back for a score to give the Patriots a 21-10 edge.

With their win, the Patriots earned advancement to the AFC Championship game against Denver – their 16th AFC title game appearance overall in NFL history – marking seven straight victories over these teams in this type of title matchup.

After the victory, Boutte spoke highly of his team’s resilience. He noted how they kept fighting hard for each other and never gave up fighting back against challenges they encountered along the way. Additionally, Boutte lauded their defense for making some key stops and forcing turnovers.

On Sunday, Jan. 13, the Patriots will travel to Denver for the AFC Championship game – marking their 16th appearance, which is the highest mark ever for franchise history.

Since 1994 they have won nine out of 15 AFC titles with an aggressive Broncos offense as opponents – the defense must remain at its peak to defeat Denver; one bad coverage or missed tackle could spell disaster for New England!

Julian Edelman

Julian Francis Edelman was an American professional football wide receiver for 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), being selected by New England Patriots in the seventh round of 2009 NFL Draft. Edelman quickly established himself as one of the greatest postseason performers ever seen by NFL, ranking third for both postseason receiving yards and receptions and holding several Super Bowl records for punt returns and first-half receptions.

Edelman has been participating fully in practice this week and should return for Thursday’s game. Though his contact drill participation may be limited, Edelman should still be available – essential given their playoff hopes are riding on him.

Edelman led his team with 80 receptions and 1,377 yards during regular season play, as well as three Super Bowl championships and being named Super Bowl LVIII MVP. Additionally, he is honored as part of both Patriots All-Decade Team and All-Dynasty teams and this year he was inducted into their Ring of Honor.

Since retiring from the NFL, Edelman has taken to entrepreneurship. He co-founded Nuthouse Sports – an athlete-driven production company focused on sports and entertainment content – as well as two podcasts:

Games with Names and Dudes on Dudes; joined Paramount+ as an analyst for Inside the NFL show and leverages social media presence against antisemitism.

Rob Gronkowski

The Patriots delivered yet another divisional win against Houston Texans 28-16 to reach AFC Championship game for 16th consecutive time and tie Pittsburgh Steelers for most ever conference title games played.

New England used an efficient defensive and special teams performance despite some ineffective offensive production to reach Foxboro for their season’s finale game.

The Texans began strong on their opening drive, but an interception by Carlton Davis at New England 17-yard line would halt any progress.

Luckily for New England though, their defense would come through on their next drive when Sheldon Rankins made an incredible diving catch off a tipped ball, leading to New England’s first touchdown drive featuring Stefon Diggs’ 2-yard run to cap off their successful drive.

C.J. Stroud made a poor decision during their next drive when they turned to air attack; as a result of which Marcus Jones intercepted it for an easy turnover. C.J. attempted a bootleg pass which went straight through receiver’s hands into Marcus Jones arms waiting on defense.

On a subsequent Texans possession, Stroud attempted to gain entrance to the end zone through air play but was once more intercepted by Sheldon Rankins – again interception being stopped by strong red zone defense from Patriots holding up in two playoff games, thus forcing a punt.

Late in the fourth quarter, Stroud would finally get his chance at scoring but his pass fell incomplete. Meanwhile, Patriots defense held firm and allowed their offense to take control and march towards victory.
