England XI vs. Serbia XI
England completed an outstanding qualifying campaign with an easy victory against Serbia at Wembley Stadium, consolidating their dominance of Group K. Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze scored goals that could cement their places in England’s World Cup squad while newcomer Nico O’Reilly produced another outstanding display on his World Cup debut.
The Three Lions were without Harry Kane but still appeared dominant as they dominated their hosts, dominating possession early and creating multiple chances. Once an opportunity presented itself, Saka scored with an exquisite left-foot shot past Predrag Rajkovic for their opening goal.
Serbia was out of contention for second place but did display some threat in the final half hour, with Lazar Samardzic firing wide from close range and Dusan Vlahovic seeing his effort superbly blocked by Ezri Konsa. Unfortunately for them however, Eze secured victory with an exquisite curling finish in injury time to seal victory for Eze’s side.
Foden scored seven out of 10, as an integral member of the squad who provided everything asked of him, from setting up the crucial first goal with his clever run into the box, to showing why he is Arsenal’s top young player with his breathtaking late strike.
O’Reilly earned himself an 8 rating as an impressive fullback with strong engine and reliable technique; although he could do more in possession. On his senior debut he gave an outstanding account of himself; going forward he is sure to become a key component of England team.
England XI vs. Latvia XI
England are heading into their final World Cup qualifying match in Latvia confident they will finish top two in Group K after defeating Wales 5-0 last month, which ensured their participation at next summer’s tournament. Thomas Tuchel should maintain faith with the same starting lineup from last weekend’s victory and should benefit from Harry Kane’s return as striker.
Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney missed England’s 3-0 win against Wales due to an ankle injury, but has been included in their travel squad and may make his debut against Latvia – making this matchup one of few times this campaign when all recognized starters could feature for England.
England enjoyed an uneventful opening period before finding their rhythm after 20 minutes when Marcus Rashford latched onto Declan Rice’s deft dummy but his curling effort was held by goalkeeper Marko Rajkovic.
As they continued to control play for 14 minutes more, Manchester City finally scored their second. Bukayo Saka struck from close range following an excellent pass from Tottenham Hotspur’s Kieran Trippier on the right wing to put him through and open up space down the right flank for him to score from close range from close range. Manchester City teammates Ollie Watkins and Saka both went close before half time; Kane unfortunately was unable to convert Eberechi Eze’s left-sided cross into goals before the break.
Myles Lewis-Skelly makes his return as Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly replaces injured Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Djed Spence as Tuchel makes only one change, while Anthony Gordon returns for Newcastle United as the sole change. Ezri Konsa and John Stones remain as partners at centre back; Jordan Pickford returns in goal as he bids for his 80th cap.

England XI vs. Faroe Islands XI
Faroe Islands manager Jogvan Martin Olsen and his national team players have heaped praise upon Faroe Islands manager Jogvan Martin Olsen despite an underwhelming start in Euro 2016 qualifying matches, even as Faroese team earned a 1-1 draw against higher-ranked Northern Ireland on 4 September at Svangaskard Stadion, Toftir. Midfielder Rogvi Jacobsen scored an equaliser at Svangaskard Stadion 77 minutes in.
England maintained their unbeaten World Cup qualifying Group K record after victory at Wembley Stadium on a rain-soaked evening. Coach Thomas Tuchel made two alterations to his starting XI, inserting Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly for Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers as number 10 instead of Jude Bellingham in that role respectively.
Eberechi Eze was included as a substitute after being called back into senior squad duty – sealing victory late with an exquisite curling finish from him late on!
Gary Cahill created an excellent corner that saw Jordan Henderson’s effort deflected wide by Noa Joensen of Faroe Islands keeper Noa Joensen, before Gabriel shot low but it was saved by Pickford before Reece James provided another perfectly placed free-kick, landing at Kavuma McQueen who attempted an effort which was blocked by defenders.
Substitutions came and went without making an immediate difference; Lazar Samardzic misfired on a volley following latching onto a pass from Pedrag Rajkovic; however, as England continued pressing, Eze’s poked shot was deflected onto the crossbar by Joensen with only seconds remaining in play; Harvey Higgins met one corner with an aggressive diving header but Javor Ivanovic intercepted and cleared off-line for England.
England XI vs. Estonia XI
Estonia () is a nation located in Northern Europe, bordered by Latvia, Russia, Finland and Germany. Its capital city is Tallinn. Estonian is its official language; president and parliament are responsible for governance; international association football competitions are managed by Estonian Football Association which represents it internationally in international association competitions – its team ranks 24th overall yet never qualified for World Cup qualification.
Young Lionesses recorded an emphatic 11-0 victory against Estonia at St George’s Park, with both Liverpool midfielder Missy Bo Kearns and University of North Carolina striker Ruby Grant scoring hat-tricks en route to topping their group and qualifying for 2022 World Cup qualifying play-offs. This result ensures their inclusion.
Thomas Tuchel made three adjustments to England’s side that defeated Latvia 5-0 last month, leaving out Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly and Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon for Tottenham Hotspur trio Djed Spence, Ezri Konsa and Manchester City protege Nico O’Reilly.
O’Reilly and Saka both demonstrated why they deserve a World Cup call-up by scoring England’s opening goal early on and adding two goals late in the game with beautiful curling finishes from O’Reilly and Saka. Manchester City defender John Stones completed all 90 minutes to maintain his place alongside Jordan Pickford and Gary Cahill as England secured maximum points on this successful day for them all.
England XI vs. Northern Ireland XI
England kicked off their UEFA Women’s Euro 2026 campaign in style as they beat Northern Ireland 2-0 at Larne’s Inver Park, witnessed by almost 800 spectators. England scored one goal in each half to seal their triumph over their more esteemed opponents and win big against an audience of nearly 800 supporters.
Phoebe De Bohan scored the opening goal in the 29th minute after taking advantage of an unwise Lucy Robinson clearance attempt from close range, bundling it over from close range into her net. Before halftime Mia Dixon made contact just inches above the bar while Abbie Smyth saw her powerful effort blocked on the line by Daisy Moore and Holly Hilton.
Northern Ireland began the second half in an impressive fashion, holding off England with ease and making an aggressive counterattack of their own. A series of attacking attacks saw Northern Ireland surge forward once more, but Smyth saw her effort blocked by Antoine, before Sofia Burton sent in a cross that just cleared the bar. Substitute Chelsea N’Drin found De Bohan within the area but her initial strike was blocked out by Ifeoma Agoha but she made no mistakes when taking another shot from close range.
At full tilt, this match was an intense encounter, with both sides keen to secure their first victory of the tournament. Northern Ireland manager Nigel Sanchez expressed confidence in his squad with half-time comments such as “a renewed sense of belief.” A great team performance from Northern Ireland merited being celebrated; thus the BBC iPlayer documentary “True North:
Healy 1 England 0 – A Football Miracle” celebrates it anniversary by featuring contributions from former defenders David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Jamie Carragher among others – watchable now in the context of Serbia National Football Team Vs England National Football Team Lineups.
