Ajinkya Rahane was raised in Dombivli with an upbringing that was mid-class but his love of cricket became his religion. His hard work earned him a Test recall against South Africa in 2023, during which he scored an unbeaten 205 in one match – his highest score in any series and leading him into an elite club of players who have amassed more than 5,000 Test runs each.

Rahane has played for multiple IPL franchises since 2012, yet Rajasthan Royals remain his primary franchise.
