CSK vs PBKS

CSK vs PBKS has become one of the fiercest rivalries in Indian Premier League cricket, providing fans with drama, momentum shifts and standout individual performances with every matchup between these teams. 2025’s edition was no different – featuring nail-biting finishes and record breaking innings!

This game was held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India and attracted an incredible atmosphere with massive crowds filling every seat in the stadium.

Both sides provided high-quality contests that both played out until one side ultimately triumphed – leaving both stunned by an upset result where an away side win by four wickets against their top rival home side was determined to top their respective tables!

The score after 20 overs was 151-2 from 20 overs with away winning by four wickets which caused great upset amongst home players as they thought they had come into this match as expected to top their respective tables before entering this matchup!

As CSK had an uncertain start, MS Dhoni quickly rallied his troops. Forging unbroken partnerships of 78 runs with Dewald Brevis and 46 runs with Shivam Dube to bring CSK back from their precarious position in Powerplay, all while benefiting from an outstanding bowling performance from Punjab bowlers such as Ferguson and Chahal’s defensive overs, which put an end to any run chase from CSK, while Thakur tightened down late.

PBKS earned an important victory on Sunday to return them to playoff contention. Though there were some unneeded miscues late, they still held on and pulled off an exciting win to gain two essential points that will give them much-needed momentum going into playoff contention.

CSK have held onto an edge over PBKS historically, yet in recent seasons PBKS has closed the gap, showing how T20 cricket’s balance of power can shift quickly due to tactical tweaks and aggressive batting from both teams.

Both squads boast powerful benches with differing batting philosophies; CSK have the edge here due to experience; however it must also remain flexible enough to adapt and read situations on the pitch in order to win matches against PBKS.

CSK vs KXIP

After losing to KKR in their previous match, CSK needed one last shot at making playoffs – this match being of critical importance.

A win would have kept their chances alive but unfortunately that did not materialise; while CSK started off strong but lost their way in the middle overs, eventually falling short of reaching an acceptable total.

Punjab batsmen got off to an excellent start, led by Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh’s 44-run opening stand before Khaleel Ahmed struck in the Powerplay to break their partnership – however this did not derail Punjab as they continued scoring runs at an unprecedented rate.

Shreyas Iyer led his visitors’ innings with 72 runs off 41 balls. He earned Man of the Match honors and spoke of how much he enjoyed chasing down such an intimidating target at Chepauk; it is something he is particularly adept at and thrives at doing; also backing his instincts, believing he can hit it wherever he batting – in particular speaking about their excellent away record and enjoying playing under such conditions.

At the end of it all, PBKS’ clinical finish earned them a four-wicket win and kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the play-offs. Even with some unexpected setbacks towards the end, they managed to complete their task and put an end to CSK’s struggles.

KXIP made history on Friday evening when they won their inaugural away victory of the season, providing much-needed momentum heading into their home games against Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.

KL Rahul’s impressive form gives KXIP high hopes of turning things around, however they must remain wary of CSK’s threat on home ground; best bet would be sticking to basics and trying to stop MS Dhoni running rampant through their opponents’ defenses.

CSK vs KKR

KKR and CSK contests always promise to be compelling encounters as both teams vie for top four finishes in the league. Their fans also tend to rival each other with yellow sea of CSK supporters often being met by pink wave of KKR supporters; creating some unforgettable matches and moments over the years.

CSK’s spinners did an effective job slowing down KKR, restricting them to only 179 for 6, which was never going to be enough on this track.

Thanks to Ajinkya Rahane and late flourishes from Andre Russell and Manish Pandey however, KKR reached a total that was still within their grasp.

CSK started their pursuit of 180 with Ayush Mhatre being out early with just two balls for no runs; debutant Urvil Patel then came in and hit three sixes and three fours in 11 balls during her cameo appearance.

Dewald Brevis then brought their innings back on course by hitting an impressive 22-ball half century alongside Shivam Dube to form an invaluable sixth wicket stand of 54 runs.

Moeen Ali struck back, taking two wickets in one over to change the tide for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). First he got rid of Ayush Mhatre with a delivery that pitched directly while swinging away, stumping him. Next came Brevis;

Moeen then made sure of that by hitting Brevis with another fuller delivery that hit his pads directly and made contact. MS Dhoni then hit an astounding four-wicket haul from Noor Ahmad while Noor Ahmad finished up his stint with four wickets himself! CSK needed two points and kept their playoff hopes alive while defeat put KKR into third position;

CSK vs SRH

Chennai Super Kings have found themselves mired in turmoil and it only takes one setback to end their chances at the IPL playoffs. Sitting ninth with four wins and six losses so far this season, CSK needs multiple miracles to get into the last four – a recent crushing defeat at home against Sunrisers Hyderabad all but put paid to any hopes of coming back from this.

Home team had the advantage of dew and mist to aid their bowlers, yet faltered at bat due to disciplined bowling from SRH.

Ayush Mhatre and Dewald Brevis tried their best, but were ultimately limited by their efforts being stopped by SRH’s effective bowling attack.

Harshal Patel stood out as the star performer for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), picking four wickets at an economy rate of 2.45 and being supported by Jaydev Unadkat and Pat Cummins who both picked two wickets each while Kamindu Mendis made an impactful contribution with one wicket as CSK were restricted to just 154 runs in 19.5 overs by SRH’s away side.

SRH’s batsmen didn’t start well, but Heinrich Klaasen did well as he reached his maiden fifty of the season.

Once Heinrich reached fifty, their batsmen quickly put on the gas; soon they were ahead in the game until an unfortunate collapse left them all out for just 152 runs. This result saw SRH win at Chepauk for the first time and climb into seventh in the points table, becoming their first home game against CSK since 2012! On 22 occasions these two sides have met, CSK winning 15 times to SRH’s seven victories; both teams drew once.

Their next meeting will take place at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on 26 April at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT), making for another high-stakes contest where only one side can qualify for playoffs! Join us live to witness all the action live!
