RCB vs RR
RCB and RR have enjoyed a longstanding rivalry that always produces an intense competition in every encounter they play against one another in the Indian Premier League, playing 28 times against each other with RCB emerging victorious 15 times and 14 wins respectively for each side in various venues around India.
Both teams have seen plenty of memorable and thrilling moments during these matches with many memorable clashes taking place between them at multiple venues across India – recently, RCB appointed Rajat Patidar as captain to end their long trophy drought.
RCB defeated Rajasthan Royals convincingly and moved up to third in the points table. Opting to bowl, RCB restricted RR to 173/4 with their disciplined bowling. Jaiswal led with 75 for RR but his batsmen struggled for support.
Just when it seemed as though collapse was imminent, Hazlewood produced a masterful spell in the 19th over conceding just one run while getting Dhruv Jurel out who was looking to lead them towards victory.
RCB began their chase quickly and reached 157/3 after 10 overs, thanks to Kohli and Padikkal’s strong bating performance of adding 86 runs off 67 balls for RCB to come within 11 runs of par score.
Even after losing three wickets quickly in quick succession, Tim David and Jitesh Sharma contributed with quick runs that kept momentum flowing forward for them.
Near the end, Royal Challengers Bangalore eased to an easy win with a target of only 117 runs. RR remain fifth place despite this loss and are one of three teams with positive net run rates; other two being Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals. They will look to rebound against Mumbai in their next match.
Head-to-Head Record
Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals have met 33 times during IPL, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru has won 16 of them; seven ended in a draw.
Most recently, this matchup took place just a few days ago at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru winning by 9 wickets; an upcoming game between these teams will also take place here.
The match was an exhibition of different batting philosophies. RCB are known for attacking from ball one and they did just that in the opening six overs of this match-up, while RR took a more reserved approach, yet still managed to score runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal stole the show for Rajasthan as they reached 173 for 4. His 75 off 47 balls for RR was not only impressive, but he used his feet and long shots well, even hitting Archer for six over square leg! Jaiswal is a highly effective batsman who does not play loose shots but was always looking for big runs – always thinking big shots ahead. He can use both feet and long shots well; he even hit Archer over square leg!
Jaiswal received support from Shimron Hetmyer and Nitish Rana who contributed towards reaching a respectable total. Unfortunately, Royals still fell well short of their target as they needed 47 runs off four overs to meet it; which would have been difficult considering they have had recent difficulty against spin bowlers.
Due to their limited batting depth, Rajasthan Royals’ has had to adopt more conservative batting strategies than is ideal in T20 cricket, leading them not reaching winning targets in three of four losses this season – something which had put them in jeopardy on Sunday against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Lucky for them, their teammates kept calm and completed the task at hand. Krunal Pandya and Yash Dayal both proved themselves as outstanding bowlers – Dayal especially making the most of a pitch that prevented any balls coming to his batsman as well as bowling two back-of-the-hand slower balls in the 19th over that helped shift momentum in his favour.
Matches at Sawai Mansingh Stadium
Sawai Mansingh Stadium, better known by its abbreviation SMS stadium, is a beloved cricket venue in Jaipur. Constructed during Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II’s rule and seating up to 30,000 spectators, it serves as the home ground of Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League; an iconic international match was attended by Pakistan’s President Zia-ul-Haq as part of a cricket for peace initiative; renovations were carried out significantly in 2006 to provide world-class cricket academy facilities – complete with world-class cricket academy facilities!
The stadium is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere during matches, hosting many high-scoring contests with riveting finishes. As an all-encompassing multi-sport facility, it also hosts multiple disciplines of sports. However, despite these positive aspects, structural issues at the venue have impaired spectator experiences significantly.
Poor seating arrangements, poor crowd control and limited food and beverage offerings have contributed to these problems. Furthermore, double-layered fencing within a stadium may obstruct views of the field, making it hard for spectators to follow what’s happening on game days. Parking and traffic issues may further compound these difficulties.
Even with these issues, the stadium remains an attractive option for cricket enthusiasts. Its central location near Rambagh Circle allows visitors to easily visit other attractions like Hawa Mahal and City Palace nearby. Furthermore, modern floodlights make the venue suitable for day/night matches.
The stadium provides an attractive batting pitch that offers both batsmen and bowlers an abundance of spin. Unfortunately, however, fast bowlers may struggle due to its tendency for turning greasy in the second half, slowing the pace of play considerably. Furthermore, there is also an unforgiving outfield which includes several holes. Unfortunately, wickets tend to become unsteady frequently as fielders make errors that waste chances.
Match 28
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will look to salvage their season when they host Rajasthan Royals, looking for their fourth win this season after suffering heartbreaking defeat against Delhi Capitals. Skipper Rajat Patidar should be watched carefully due to his outstanding spinner abilities as well as recent surge in pace bowling form that could give Jofra Archer nightmares.
Phil Salt’s 65 off 33 and Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 62 off 45 enabled Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to chase down their target of 174 with ease in just 17.3 overs. Phil Salt started aggressively and overcame some dropped chances to hit powerfully at on-side boundaries.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson of RR opened their innings carefully, building a firm foundation. Soon thereafter, however, Jaiswal took charge and raced away to score 75 off 46 balls while Dhruv Jurel kept the run-rate under control with an efficient 35 off 23 deliveries.
